Lucky Slime
Slimeology
Lucky slimes are a peculiar offshoot of tabby slimes with an irresistible attraction to shiny objects, especially newbuck coins. They eagerly swallow up any coins they find, giving them a distinct jingling sound as they move. Despite their love of currency, lucky slimes still crave meat and will happily consume any they come across. When they do, their bodies erupt in a shower of newbucks, leaving them puffed up and sending them tumbling into the air. Once a rancher is spotted, a lucky slime will dart away almost immediately. To this day, no rancher has managed to catch one, whether due to lack of skill or simply a lack of luck.
Plortonomics
A lucky slime is not known to produce plorts of any kind. Slime scientists theorize this is because the lucky slime is not truly its own species, but rather an unusual tabby slime. Over time, its color is thought to have faded from consuming so many coins, and this strange transformation may also explain why it no longer produces plorts at all.
