Boom Slime
Slimeology
Boom slimes are usually heard long before they are spotted. Their slime cells vibrate endlessly, building up energy that crackles louder and brighter until it erupts in a powerful explosion. While the blast leaves everything around them shaken, the boom slime itself emerges unharmed—if not a little disoriented.
Plortonomics
Highly volatile Boom Plorts have a range of industrial and scientific uses, from powering rocket thrusters to controlled demolitions. Their intense energy output has also attracted interest from military and research institutions, which explore applications that include experimental medical technologies and other advanced studies. Despite their promise, their destructive potential demands careful handling and strict regulation.
Special behavior
- Boom slimes occasionally detonate, signaled by the brightening of their core and veins. The resulting blast sends everything nearby flying and leaves the slime briefly stunned. These explosions can be temporarily suppressed with water, though they occur far more frequently when the slime is agitated.
