Power Chip

All Power Chips are obtained as upgrade parts hidden throughout the world, found either inside Treasure Pods or behind Shadow Plort Doors within the Grey Labyrinth. At present, there are three Treasure Pods and one Shadow Plort Door that contain Power Chips, making four in total. One can be discovered in the Rainbow Fields, another in Starlight Strand, a third in Powderfall Bluffs, and the final one within the Grey Labyrinth itself. Collecting all four ensures access to every Power Core upgrade that requires them, making exploration and puzzle-solving an essential step toward fully expanding the rancher’s energy capacity.

The Power Chip is a specialized crafting material in Slime Rancher 2, serving a single purpose: upgrading the Power Core at the Fabricator located beneath the Conservatory. The Power Core can be upgraded five times in total, and the Power Chip is required for four of those upgrades. Each upgrade enhances the rancher’s maximum energy, also referred to as stamina, which is essential for actions such as sprinting and jetpack use. The first three upgrades provide a consistent increase of fifty energy each, while the final two, Power Core IV and Power Core V, grant a smaller boost of twenty-five energy apiece. Fully investing in these upgrades greatly expands the player’s energy reserves, allowing for longer periods of continuous movement and tool usage before needing to recover.
