Thought to be extinct for over a billion years, thunderclucks are a variety of prehistoric hen that ruled the roost during the Jellasic Period and absolute proof that dinosaurs were basically just giant chickens. Historians had long believed they were wiped out from a giant meteor, but seeing them now it’s clear that the roostros were probably just super terrified of them and it just sort of took care of itself.
