This sweet syrup comes from Rainbow Island’s most unusual plant, the moondrew flower, which only blooms at night. Initially scientists thought the buds of this flower never opened. But that was just because they tended to call it quits around 5, maybe 4:45 if they were trying to beat traffic. That is, until that fateful night when one Dr. Arnold Penobscott forgot about Daylight Savings Time and wound up working an hour late. As he went to grab his jacket he was surprised to see the moondrew flower, in full bloom. That’s just how discoveries are made sometimes.
